Nassos Michelis, attorney at Law before the Greek Supreme Court, graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Athens and holds a postgraduate degree from the Law School of Munich in Germany (Magister Legum, LL.M.). Mr. Michelis received scholarship from the Federal State of Bayern and specialized in civil and commercial law at the chair of Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Claus Wilhelm Canaris. He has been practicing law since 1995 onwards and providing legal assistance to private individuals and companies, handling cases before the Courts or providing his legal advice. Apart from his litigation activity he also acts as a legal advisor to various private corporations and public organizations, having a leading role in their legal departments. Mr. Michelis has participated as lecturer in conferences and has published several articles in law magazines. He is a founding member of the international legal networks Interjures, Marcalliance and Associated European Energy Consultants, while he teaches Renewable Energy Law to lawyers and business executives at the Themistocles and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation Centre for European Constitutional Law (CECL). He has received a special training on the topic “Fighting Corruption” at the École National d’ Administration (ENA) in Paris as a scholar of the French Government as well. He is also a member of the work group on Energy matters of the Greek-German Industrial and Commercial Chamber. He speaks English, German and French in addition to his native Greek. He represents the second generation of lawyers in his family, following his father, lawyer, Ioannis Michelis. He is the founding, managing and senior partner in the Law Firm Michelis-Strongylaki-Reinhardt (MStR Law Firm).
